It feels good to come home to beautiful house after a long day at work. A place where you can fully relax and put your feet up to unwind is ideal. Usually one of the favorite places is the living room where you entertain your friends and spend some quality time with your family.

Beautify the living room by designing and maximizing the space. It shouldn’t feel confined or dark that will make you feel depress or uncomfortable. Create a space that eases your mind. Have a good lighting in the living room since it creates an illusion of spaciousness. You can have sliding doors that lead to a garden or huge windows to let the natural light in. If this is not possible, add lamps or ceiling lights in the living room. Another design trick is to put mirrors on the wall. It creates depth and illusion of a bigger space. Choose a light color for the paint like cream, light blue or yellow.

Use spaces like corners or beside beams inside the house. Place a bookshelf or a small table that fit it. Open shelves where you can place memorabilia and other decors create openness as well. Have a sofa that are comfortable and goes with the color of the room. Perhaps the safest is brown or other earth tone fabrics. A glass coffee table creates illusion of space. Another way to maximize living room space is to have box type chairs or ottomans that can fit under the coffee table. Foldable chairs are also another alternative that you can stow away when it’s not needed. Have hooks mounted on the wall for hanging coats or hats. Put an umbrella container on the corner of the room. The best way to maximize a living room is to stay away from clutter.
