The Bay Area Recovery Center (BARC) in Texas helps individuals with drug and alcohol addiction beat their addictions through a supportive and relaxing community environment. Their dedication to the most comfortable atmosphere that presents a home-like feel helps individuals focus on the task at-hand, which is recovering from addiction. All of their inpatient services are offered to individuals 17 years and older.
In order to foster the right atmosphere for addiction treatment and recovery, the Bay Area Recovery Center has established a list of different services. BARC offers their patients chemical dependency education and interactive group counseling sessions for a sense of community among patients. Personal social adjustment training and individual counseling sessions are provided for individual care. Structured activities are also offered in order to get patients active. In addition, the center offers these activities:

• Relapse prevention
• Twelve Step support group orientation
• Vocational adjustment and employment readiness training; job placement services
Over the last 20 years, BARC has become one of the best centers for residential drug rehab in Texas. For those individuals for which addiction has adversely affected family and friend relationships and negatively impacted their lifestyle and work, BARC offers their inpatient services. All patients are provided with 24 hour support in an environment that is less restrictive and more comfortable than what hospitals can offer. Patients can live in a place that is free of the external pressures that may have led them to addiction.
