My fifth grader decided he wanted to do the science fair this year. It is optional and I really tried to sway him to opting to not do it this year because frankly I am tired of helping him with projects! And I know he is all excited about the ‘idea’ of the project and then when his friends are coming around to ask him to play he is not going to want to stay in and be working on this thing. But, he wants to do it. He is all into ‘going green’ since they have been learning about recycling in science. All his motivation is rubbing off on his dad though. The man never used to think about the environment and probably would have looked at you like you were crazy if you said “carbon footprint” to him. Now, he is talking about how much energy we use in our home and mentioning solar panels! He did get a good fixed rate for our energy at Shop Green Mountain Energy. I just really hope I don’t end up doing this stupid project the night before and finishing at 2:00 am like last time!
